Beaches in Lanzarote
Most people are under the impression that the beaches in Lanzarote are all black sand, due to the black volcanic back drops to most of the resorts. Guests tend to be pleasantly surprised when they find out the beaches are soft, pale sand.
With a sunshine record that other holiday destinations envy, this gem offers sun, sea, and sand by the bucket and spade full. Some of the beaches boast calm waters more suited for families with smaller children, the other beaches feature more powerful and bigger waves which are great for water sports. Sightseeing and Tourist Attractions in Lanzarote
Catlanza- The friendly staff will welcome you aboard. After being welcomed this wonderful ship nothing to do except sit back and relax. Then later, the crew will teach how to trim the sails, take the helm to start an understanding to sailing skills, on the 75-foot catamaran.

Every Sunday hundreds of people flock to Teguise to pick up the latest bargains in the street markets. If street markets are not for you and you would rather shop til you drop in a modern shopping centre then Lanzarote ticks all the boxes.
With it’s fair share of shopping centres Puerto del Carmen is home to Biosfera, known for its upmarket shops, spread on many floors.
Don't forget if purchasing spirits and tobacco make sure you do not go over your allowances. Eating out in Lanzarote
Whatever you may fancy for a nice meal, Lanzarote is no stranger to fine dining experiences. If you're looking for traditional Spanish cuisine, look no further. There are plenty of dishes to tantalise your taste buds. International foods are also readily available such as Chinese, Indian and Italian or good old British food just in case you’re feeling homesick.
For something local why not try Papas Arrugadas, these are ‘wrinkly’ potatoes boiled in seawater and served with a Mojo, a traditional canarian Sauce. Moio is made with garlic and herbs or paprika.
Also, try the local wines and seafood is an absolute must. When dining you will be able to find Fresh Tuna Steaks, Calamari and Octopus. Nightlife in Lanzarote
While Lanzarote is not nearly as boisterous as Tenerife or some of the Balearic Islands there is still plenty of nightlife to suit most.
There are many sports and family bars in all of the main resorts, as well as plenty to suit singles and couples on the island.
If you are looking for a taste of Spanish nightlife then try the capital city of Arrecife. The busiest resort for live music bars and 'Discoteca' is Puerto Del Carmen. |
